About the role
Key responsibilities
- Deliver and collect parcels from residential and business addresses.
- Load your vehicle and organise parcels into delivery order.
- Follow planned routes and manage your time to complete deliveries.
- Use a handheld scanner to record deliveries, collections and proof of delivery.
- Carry out daily vehicle checks and report any faults.
- Handle parcels carefully and follow safe manual handling procedures.
- Communicate any delays or delivery issues to the transport team.
- Represent the company professionally when dealing with customers.
- A valid UK driving licence allowing you to drive a 3.5 tonne van.
- Previous van driving or multi-drop delivery experience preferred.
- Confidence using handheld scanners and navigation systems.
- Good communication, organisation and timekeeping skills.
- Ability to carry out regular lifting and loading safely.
- A reliable approach and commitment to safe driving.
