Technical Service Manager

Our client is a specialist commercial interiors contractor providing full office refurbishments, CAT A & CAT B fit-outs, glass installations (including structural staircases and frameless partitions), and ongoing maintenance works for office, retail, and industrial clients. Despite being a relatively small, agile organisation, the company delivers technically demanding projects and prides itself on close client collaboration, prefabrication efficiencies, and bespoke joinery manufactured in-house. The Opportunity Due to continued growth and an increasing pipeline of technically complex projects, our client is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to take ownership of all building services coordination and technical delivery across multiple schemes. This is a pivotal role within a tight-knit leadership team, offering real influence over project outcomes and business direction. It would suit a commercially aware, technically strong individual who enjoys working within an agile SME environment where decisions are made quickly and quality is paramount. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate all M&E and technical services across fit-out and refurbishment projects Manage consultants, subcontractors, and design coordination Oversee technical submissions, drawings, and compliance documentation Ensure projects meet regulatory, statutory, and client requirements Support pre-construction with technical input and value engineering Attend client meetings and provide technical guidance throughout delivery Drive programme, quality, and cost efficiency from a services perspective Requirements Proven experience as a Technical Services Manager within commercial fit-out or refurbishment Strong M&E coordination background Experience working on office, retail, or industrial interior projects Good knowledge of UK building regulations and compliance requirements Ability to operate autonomously in a small but ambitious business Strong communication and client-facing skills What s on Offer Salary up to GBP100,000 (depending on experience) Opportunity to play a key role in a growing, financially stable business Direct access to decision-makers and genuine influence Varied and technically engaging projects across London & the South East Long-term progression as the company continues to expand This is an excellent opportunity for a technically driven professional seeking greater responsibility and the ability to shape delivery within a respected interiors specialist.
