CNC Machinist

We're excited to offer multiple opportunities for skilled CNC Lathe and Vertical Borer operators to join our clients growing team in Teesside.

What You'll Do:
- Set up and operate CNC machines, ensuring all work meets quality standards and adheres to engineering drawings and specifications.
- Program machines for batch runs, including preparing jaws, parallels, jigs, or fixtures.
- Depending on your skill level, program machines for small batch runs.
- Collaborate with the Production Engineer to prove out first-off production and manage serial production batches.
- Work with a variety of materials including alloy steels, nickel-based alloys, super alloys, stainless, and duplex alloys.
- Interpret engineering drawings using both imperial and metric measurements.
- Utilise a range of measuring equipment and apply inspection procedures for in-process inspection and first-off batch control.
- Interface with production support departments such as production control, engineering, inspection, and maintenance.
- Use computer systems to load programs and record work activities.
- Participate in and support all training activities.
- Maintain a positive and safe working environment, leading by example with regard to quality, health, safety, and environmental policies.

What We're Looking For:
- Time-served or equivalent qualifications with experience in CNC Turning, preferably using a Fanuc control system and live tooling.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of production processes and systems.
- A motivated approach to work, with the ability to maintain high standards under time constraints.
