School Minibus Driver
Location: Kingston
Contract: 3 months, ongoing (potentially permanent)
Pay: £20.15 per hour through an umbrella company
Hours: 6 hrs per day, Monday to Thursday (24 hrs per week)
Start Date: ASAP
The Opportunity
We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Minibus Driver to provide transport services for pupils of a multi-academy trust. This role is ideal for an individual with excellent customer service skills and a strong commitment to passenger safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport passengers to and from designated locations
- Conduct daily vehicle checks and report any defects or maintenance issues
- Ensure compliance with road traffic legislation and transport regulations
- Assist passengers when boarding and exiting the vehicle where required
- Maintain accurate journey and vehicle records
- Keep the minibus clean, presentable, and roadworthy at all times
- Provide a professional and courteous service to all passengers
Essential Requirements
- Full UK Driving Licence with D1 entitlement
- Previous experience driving a minibus or passenger-carrying vehicle
- Strong awareness of road safety and passenger welfare
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexibly when required
Desirable Requirements
- MiDAS certification
- Experience working within education, healthcare, or community transport settings
- Enhanced DBS clearance
