Overview

My client is a rapidly scaling fintech start-up looking for a Junior Front End Engineer (1–4 years’ experience) to join their growing team of talented software engineers. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced technologists from top tech companies and trading firms, contributing to modern, high-performance software used across the FX and Crypto trading space. You’ll be involved in building and improving scalable, reliable front-office trading platforms, gaining exposure to real-world systems used in fast-moving financial markets.

The Role

The team values curiosity, strong fundamentals, and a willingness to learn. You’ll be supported by senior engineers and given the chance to develop your skills while working on technology that receives significant real-world exposure. The team is primarily based in London and works on a hybrid basis, though fully remote options are available for the right candidate.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and improving scalable, reliable front-office trading platforms
• Contributing to high-performance software used in FX and Crypto markets
• Collaborating with experienced technologists from top tech and trading firms
• Developing front-end features while ensuring high performance and reliability
• Gaining hands-on mentorship from senior engineers in a fast-moving environment
  
  

Requirements

• 1–4 years’ experience working with JavaScript
• Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React or React Native
• Solid understanding of front-end fundamentals (component design, state management, performance)
• Some exposure to a back-end language (e.g., C#, Java, Python, or C++) is beneficial
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
