Join Us as a Special Needs Teaching Assistant SEMH in an SEN School
Join a dedicated SEN school as a SEN Teaching Assistant, supporting students with SEMH needs. You will work closely with pupils to provide one-to-one or small group support, helping them build confidence and develop coping strategies.
Responsibilities
- Proficiency in creating visual schedules and task analysis.
- Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.
- Strong understanding of mental health challenges in children and adolescents.
- Experience in implementing strategies to support emotional well-being.
Qualifications/Experience
- You must have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, as well as a PGCE or equivalent Teaching qualification, to be eligible for this role.
- Additionally, you will need to have, or be eligible for, British QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent to be considered for this job.
- To be eligible for this position you will also need proven classroom experience or training.
