Finance Manager

CMA Recruitment Group is recruiting a Finance Manager for a charitable organisation based in Havant. This is a senior operational finance position within a collaborative environment, reporting to the Head of Finance and managing a small team. The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining strong financial control, supporting statutory compliance and providing reliable insight to senior colleagues and the Board. What will the Finance Manager role involve? Lead the day-to-day finance function, managing a team of three and deputising for the Head of Finance when requiredOwn month-end close, accounting quality, financial procedures and the ongoing effectiveness of the control environmentManage cash-flow forecasting, treasury activity, reserves and investment reportingOversee restricted funds, grants, donations and Gift Aid across the organisation and its trading companyLead audit, statutory accounts, VAT and relevant Charity Commission and Companies House submissions, while overseeing banking, payroll payment and supplier controls Suitable Candidate for the Finance Manager vacancy: A fully qualified accountant, such as ACCA, CIMA or CIPFA, or an individual with substantial senior financial experienceStrong financial accounting experience, ideally including charity funds, grants, donations, Gift Aid, VAT, payroll accounting review and auditConfident managing cash flow, treasury, liquidity and payment-control processesAn experienced people manager with the judgement to identify risk, challenge exceptions and protect financial integrityExcellent Excel skills, with experience of Power BI and accounting systems such as Sage or AccountsIQ desirable Additional benefits and information for the role of Finance Manager: Opportunity to deputise for the Head of Finance and contribute to senior financial reportingExposure to a varied, multi-site finance environment spanning charitable and trading activitiesSalary will be dependent on experience CMA Recruitment Group is acting as a recruitment agency in relation to this role.
