Due to the continued success and rapid growth of their bookkeeping department, they are looking to welcome an experienced, dynamic, and tech-savvy Bookkeeper to their friendly team. Key Responsibilities:
As a bookkeeper, you will manage your own portfolio of clients, ensuring their financial records are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant. Your day-to-day will include:
- Client Bookkeeping: Managing day-to-day bookkeeping for a diverse range of clients.
- Software Management: Utilising cloud-based software, primarily Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage.
- Tax Compliance: Preparing and submitting VAT returns and quarterly Making Tax Digital submissions.
- Financial Reporting: Maintaining precise financial records and ensuring all reports are submitted on time.
- Client Relations: Acting as a key point of contact, managing multiple deadlines, and resolving client queries with a consultative approach.
About You:
The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who enjoys building relationships:
- Software Savvy: Fully proficient in cloud-based platforms, specifically Xero, QuickBooks, and Sage. You should have a genuine interest in staying ahead of tech advancements.
- Organised & Self-Motivated: Proven ability to manage your own workload, multi-task, and hit tight deadlines.
- Great Communicator: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly to clients.
- Experience: Prior experience working within an accountancy practice is highly beneficial, but not essential if you have strong, relevant industry experience.
