The Role
As an English Teacher, you will deliver lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, supporting students with English Language, English Literature, reading, writing and preparation for GCSE examinations.

Responsibilities may include:

• Planning and delivering English lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Teaching English Language and English Literature across KS3 and KS4.
• Preparing students for GCSE examinations.
• Assessing student progress and providing feedback.
• Managing classroom behaviour and maintaining a positive learning environment.
• Supporting students with different abilities and learning needs.

Requirements
To be considered for English teaching jobs in Sheffield, you should have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching English in a secondary school setting.
• Knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 English curriculum.
• Classroom management skills and the ability to support student progress.
