The Role
As a Science Teacher, you will deliver lessons across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop their scientific knowledge, practical skills and understanding of the world around them.
Responsibilities may include:

• Planning and delivering Science lessons in line with the national curriculum.
• Teaching Biology, Chemistry and Physics across KS3 and KS4, depending on your specialism.
• Preparing students for GCSE Science examinations.
• Planning and supervising practical experiments in line with health and safety requirements.
• Assessing student progress and providing feedback.
• Managing classroom behaviour and supporting students with different abilities and learning needs.

Requirements
To be considered for Science teaching jobs in Sheffield, you should have:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
• Experience teaching Science in a secondary school setting.
• Knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Science curriculum.
• The ability to manage a classroom and support student progress.
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student welfare.
