HSEQ Advisor

Our client is looking for an HSEQ Advisor to support the delivery of a major renewable energy project in Andover. This is a permanent, office/site-based role that involves providing competent health, safety, quality assurance, and site environmental advice. Key Responsibilities Identify unsafe working conditions, stop work, agree on safe solutions, and re-brief staff. Assist the operational team with reviewing CDM documentation. Ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements. Conduct risk assessments and method statements/task briefings. Provide support and advice to promote sustainable practices. Ensure timely closure of requirements and findings. Promote the closure of NCRs and OFIs within the project. Encourage quality contributions and ensure timely feedback. Build and maintain effective working relationships with site teams, clients, and stakeholders. Promote health and wellbeing support and direct staff as needed. Prepare and deliver workforce engagement sessions. Lead Level 1 investigations. Proactively reduce risk through the planning process. About You NEBOSH certification. Mental Health First Aider qualification. Valid driving licence. Understanding of working methods and industrial knowledge across infrastructure services. Experience with site inspections, risk assessments, and reviewing CDM documentation. Knowledge of sustainability and carbon capture. Proficient in IT systems, including Microsoft 365 and HSQE-specific systems. Excellent listening behaviours and a positive attitude. Ability to work weekends and overtime when required. Strong time management and relationship skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills. Hands-on approach to problem-solving. High standard of written and numerical literacy.
