Head of Finance

Butler Rose is exclusively recruiting a commercially minded Head of Finance to lead a growing finance function while supporting the company's continued growth. Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will oversee all aspects of financial control and play a key role in strategic initiatives including business expansion and long-term financial planning.

The Role

As Head of Finance, you will lead the day-to-day finance function, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting and regulatory compliance across the business. You will manage a small finance team while working closely with the senior management team and other stakeholders, both externally and internally.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Preparation of monthly management accounts
• Leading the month-end close process
• Preparation of annual statutory accounts
• Advising on technical accounting matters
• Managing tax compliance
• Acting as the key contact for auditors, banks and external stakeholders
• Ownership and development of finance systems
• Leading, mentoring and developing a finance team
• Driving improvements in financial controls, reporting and operational processes
• Supporting strategic decision making through accurate financial reporting
• Business partnering with non-financial departments
• Financial modelling & forecasting

About You

We are looking for a commercially minded and ambitious finance professional with strong technical accounting expertise and the ability to influence decision-making across the wider business.

The successful candidate will be professionally qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) with previous experience of working within a senior finance management role.
