The Role
As a Primary Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 support to pupils who require additional assistance
Support teaching and learning within the classroom
Work closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons
Deliver small group intervention sessions
Support pupils across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
Assist with literacy and numeracy activities
Promote positive behaviour and support pupils with challenging behaviour when required
Help prepare classroom resources and educational displays
Encourage pupil engagement, confidence and achievement
Create a positive, inclusive and supportive learning environment

Candidate Requirements
We are looking for individuals who are:

Positive, enthusiastic and proactive
Passionate about supporting children’s learning and development
Calm, patient and adaptable
Reliable with excellent communication skills
Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents
Confident working independently and as part of a team
Comfortable supporting children with a range of learning and behavioural needs
Dedicated to promoting positive learning experiences
Experience working within an educational setting is desirable but not essential

Essential Requirements

Right to work in the UK
Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one
Two professional references covering the last two years
Previous experience working with children or young people is advantageous
