Multi-Trade Operative – Carpenter or Plumber

Location: West Patch – Yeovil, Taunton, Bridgwater, Exeter and surrounding areas
Contract: Temporary
Pay Rate: £23.97 per hour

About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Multi-Trade Operative, ideally with a background in either carpentry or plumbing, to work across the West patch.

This is a temporary opportunity suited to a skilled, versatile tradesperson who can work confidently in their primary trade while carrying out basic repairs and maintenance in other trades as required.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out carpentry or plumbing repairs and maintenance.
• Undertake basic plumbing and carpentry tasks outside your main trade.
• Complete a variety of additional multi-trade repairs as required.
• Work across the West patch, including Yeovil, Taunton, Bridgwater, Exeter and surrounding areas.
• Deliver high-quality workmanship and maintain excellent customer service when working in residents’ homes.
• Work independently, managing your workload efficiently and completing jobs to a high standard.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Carpenter, Plumber or Multi-Trade Operative.
• Strong practical skills in either carpentry or plumbing, with a basic working knowledge of the other.
• A flexible approach and willingness to turn your hand to other trades.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• The ability to work independently and travel across the West patch.

Pay and Benefits

• £23.97 per hour.
