Machine Assistant

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Machine Assistant to join our clients dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in supporting the operation, maintenance, and setup of various machinery used in fabrication and assembly processes. Your enthusiasm for hands-on work, combined with mechanical aptitude and technical skills, will contribute to efficient production workflows. Responsibilities

• Assist with the setup, calibration, and operation of manufacturing machinery, including milling machines and other fabrication equipment
• Use hand tools and basic math skills to assemble components accurately according to technical drawings and specifications
• Support materials handling activities such as loading, unloading, and organizing raw materials and finished products within the warehouse or production area
• Maintain proper tooling by inspecting, cleaning, and replacing parts as needed to ensure optimal machine performance
• Follow safety protocols when working with welding equipment, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and other mechanical systems
• Collaborate with team members on assembly tasks, ensuring precise fitment and adherence to quality standards
• Document machine performance issues or maintenance needs promptly to facilitate timely repairs or adjustment.

Experience

• Prior experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment is preferred but not required; training will be provided for the right candidate
• Familiarity with fabrication techniques such as welding, milling, or CAD design (e.g., SolidWorks) is advantageous
• Worked with steel & metal
• Basic understanding of mechanical principles and materials handling processes
• Hands-on experience with hand tools, tooling management, and assembly tasks
• Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs) or CAD software is a plus
• Ability to perform basic math calculations necessary for measurements and adjustments
• Strong work ethic with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork
