About the role
Senior EMC Engineer providing assurance and technical input across TfL capital programmes, initially supporting the Piccadilly Line Upgrade. Acting as the client-side engineering authority reviewing supplier assurance evidence and negotiating technical engineering solutions with delivery partners.
Hybrid working. . Site visits, substations and trackside visits required. Office attendance expected due to project collaboration requirements.
Extensive EMC engineering experience at Senior Engineer level. Strong design and assurance background. Experience reviewing engineering assurance submissions from suppliers. Ability to operate as a client-side technical authority and influence suppliers. Transport or rail experience strongly preferred. Must be capable of working in complex engineering delivery environments and holding technical discussions with senior stakeholders. Experience with EMC engineering software and tools expected. Industrial experience required laboratory-based EMC backgrounds less suitable.
Chartership desirable but not confirmed as mandatory. Relevant EMC engineering competence and senior-level experience are significantly more important than formal qualifications. Candidate likely to require LU medical/track access capability due to trackside and substation visits.
