Pay Rate to Intermediary: Up to £35 per hour

About the Role

Spinwell is recruiting for a General Worker for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist engineers, technicians and skilled workers with daily tasks.
• Load, unload, move and organise materials and equipment.
• Prepare work areas, materials and equipment for engineering activities
• Carry out general cleaning and housekeeping duties in the work areas.
• Assist with basic assembly, dismantling, as supervised.
• Use basic hand tools and equipment safely when trained and authorised.
• Follow company health and safety procedures and correctly use required PPE.
• Report hazards, damaged equipment, or maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Assist with deliveries and storage of materials.
• Work effectively as part of a team and follow instructions from supervisors.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Previous experience in an engineering, manufacturing, construction workshop, or similar environment is desirable
• Good practical and manual skills
• Ability to follow instructions and work safely
• Reliable and punctual
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Physically capable of carrying out manual work and handling materials
• Basic understanding of workplace health and safety
