Academics is recruiting Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants to work with pupils who require additional support in schools throughout Maidstone.
With both flexible supply assignments and longer-term opportunities available, we can help you find work that suits your experience, availability and career goals.
What Does the Role Involve?
Supporting children and young people with a variety of special educational needs.
Assisting pupils with autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, speech and language difficulties and learning disabilities.
Delivering targeted one-to-one support and assisting with small-group activities.
Supporting pupils with emotional regulation, communication and classroom routines.
Working alongside class teachers to help pupils access the curriculum.
Promoting independence, inclusion and positive learning experiences.
Who Should Apply?

Experienced SEN Teaching Assistants and Learning Support Assistants.
Teaching Assistants looking to gain further SEND experience.
Individuals with backgrounds in childcare, youth work or support work.
Graduates interested in pursuing careers in teaching, psychology or special educational needs.
Candidates who are patient, reliable and passionate about helping young people succeed.
Previous school experience is advantageous, although relevant transferable experience will also be considered.
