Valuation Surveyor (Associate Director)

Beach Baker is delighted to be working with a leading property consultancy to recruit a Valuation Surveyor (Associate Director) into its established and growing South Coast Valuation team.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced MRICS Valuation Surveyor looking to develop their career within a successful team, working with an impressive range of clients and instructions.

The role offers plenty of variety, combining hands-on valuation work with client management, business development and the opportunity to play an important part in the continued growth of the team.

The Role

You will undertake a broad range of valuation and advisory work across commercial, residential and industrial property, with the potential to gain exposure to more specialist sectors, including coastal and marine property.

Working closely with clients and colleagues, you will be responsible for providing accurate, commercially focused valuation advice and producing high-quality reports in accordance with RICS standards and best practice.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Undertaking valuations across a varied property portfolio
• Providing valuation advice for sale, lease, investment and insurance purposes
• Preparing detailed valuation reports, feasibility studies and supporting documentation
• Ensuring advice and reporting complies with current RICS requirements and relevant legislation
• Reviewing and quality checking reports where required
• Developing strong relationships with existing clients and professional contacts
• Identifying and securing new instructions
• Working collaboratively with colleagues across the wider business
• Sharing market knowledge and contributing to the development of junior team members
• Playing an active part in the continued growth of the Valuation team

About You

The successful candidate will be a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS) with a strong grounding in property valuation and a good understanding of current RICS valuation standards and best practice.

You should also have:

• Strong commercial property valuation experience
• Excellent report-writing and analytical skills
• Confidence managing client and stakeholder relationships
• A commercial and proactive approach to business development
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to manage a varied workload and competing deadlines
• A collaborative approach and willingness to support the development of colleagues
• High levels of professionalism and integrity
