This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a background in HGV maintenance and repairs who can coordinate workloads, support technicians and ensure the workshop operates efficiently. With a salary of up to £55,000 and a Monday-to-Friday working pattern, this permanent position offers an attractive opportunity for an experienced candidate.

The Role
As an HGV Workshop Controller, you will be responsible for coordinating daily workshop activities, ensuring jobs are allocated effectively and maintaining high standards of productivity and workmanship.
Key responsibilities:

• Managing and coordinating the daily workload across the HGV workshop.
• Allocating servicing, maintenance and repair jobs to HGV Technicians.
• Monitoring job progress and ensuring work is completed efficiently.
• Supporting technicians with technical queries and operational challenges.
• Liaising with service advisors and other departments to maintain workflow.
• Ensuring vehicles are repaired and maintained to the required standards.
• Promoting health and safety compliance throughout the workshop.
• Monitoring workshop efficiency and identifying opportunities for improvement.
• Helping maintain high standards of quality and customer service.

About You
To be successful in this position, you will ideally have:

• Previous experience in an HGV or commercial vehicle workshop.
• Experience in workshop control, supervision or workload coordination.
• A good understanding of HGV servicing, maintenance and repair procedures.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• The ability to prioritise workloads in a fast-paced environment.
• A proactive approach to problem-solving and team support.
• Experienced Senior HGV Technicians looking to progress into a supervisory or workshop management position are also encouraged to apply.
