Compensation: £13.45 - £14.45 per hour (+ £2.00/hr for bank holidays and £3.50/hr for night shifts)
Shifts: AM and PM shifts
Key Dates: Interviews are scheduled to be held on 4th and 6th of November 2026 in Great Dunmow.

The Role
As a Customer Assistant at Lidl, you’ll keep moving, keep business booming, and never be bored. From restocking shelves and baking fresh goods to jumping on tills and maintaining the non-food middle aisles, you'll work closely with a supportive team to ensure every customer receives top-tier service. This brand-new store opening is a wonderful entry-level opportunity with clear paths for progression—you could even train to become a Freshness, Non-Food, or Bakery Specialist!
What You’ll Do:
Customer Care: Act as a Lidl expert, helping our customers with their questions, queries, and requests with a friendly smile.
Store Operations: Efficiently work deliveries as they arrive in store and keep the shop floor clean, tidy, and organized.
Bakery & Merchandising: Proactively keep the bakery stocked with freshly baked goods and expertly merchandise the non-food middle aisles.
Teamwork: Pitch in with your retail colleagues to ensure smooth-running shifts.
What You’ll Need
Experience: Previous experience working in a fast-paced environment.
Customer Focus: Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable manner.
Flexibility & Readiness: Flexibility to start a shift early or finish late, and a positive approach to changing priorities.
Drive & Passion: A strong work ethic and the passion to make your store a success.
