About the role
Hampshire | 3-6 Month Contract | Flexible Working
Are you an experienced Principal Planning Officer looking for your next highly flexible interim assignment?
A local authority in Hampshire is seeking an experienced planner to step into a key role within the Major Projects team, supporting the delivery of a number of high-profile and complex developments.
This is an immediate requirement created by an upcoming departure, with a comprehensive handover available for the successful candidate.
The Role
You'll take responsibility for a focused caseload of major and complex planning applications, including:
- Major residential schemes of up to 250 dwellings
- Strategic development proposals
- Development Consent Order (DCO) experience
- Working closely with developers, consultees and internal stakeholders
The emphasis is very much on the complexity and strategic importance of the projects rather than volume, making this an ideal opportunity for an experienced planner who can quickly get up to speed and take ownership of live schemes.
What's on Offer?
✅ Flexible working with no set office attendance requirement
✅ Initial 3-6 month contract
✅ Opportunity to work on major strategic projects and infrastructure schemes
✅ Start within next couple of weeks
✅ Competitive rate dependent on experience
Interviews are being arranged this week, with a start required as soon as possible to ensure a smooth handover.
