Long Term Futures are working with a supportive and welcoming Alternative Provision School in Chesterfield (S41) seeking a confident, resilient and personable Peripatetic Tutor to support pupils across the Chesterfield area and neighbouring towns. This is a full-time, temp-to-perm opportunity for a committed individual seeking a long-term, permanent position.
Your Role
This is a unique role working “on the road,” delivering tailored tuition to 3–5 pupils per day in their homes, alongside conducting unannounced Safe & Well checks. The school provides full planning and learning materials, as well as training and ongoing support.
- Provide tailored one-to-one support for pupils with behavioural needs
- Help create a safe, inclusive, and structured learning environment.
- Support pupils’ academic progress as well as their emotional wellbeing and personal development.
- Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and families to deliver personalised learning plans.
- Contribute to behaviour management and therapeutic support strategies.
What We’re Looking For
- A full UK driving licence
- Access to a vehicle with business insurance
- A genuine desire for a long-term, permanent position
- Confidence working independently and managing your own daily schedule
- Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with pupils and families
- Enhanced DBS on the Update System
