Looking for flexible HGV driving work? Driver Hire Edinburgh West are recruiting experienced Class 2 (Category C) Drivers to support a variety of client assignments throughout West Lothian.
Whether you’re looking for occasional shifts to top up your income or hoping to pick up regular part-time work, we have a range of driving opportunities that may suit your availability.
Full-time hours may occasionally be available, but these cannot be guaranteed.
🚚 Types of Work Available
Assignments vary depending on client requirements and may include:
- Multi-drop and single-drop deliveries.
- General haulage and pallet network work.
- A-to-B vehicle movements.
- Deliveries of steel, office furniture, food and drink, and construction materials.
- Loading and unloading duties where required.
- Completing vehicle checks and delivery paperwork.
- Following transport regulations, compliance procedures and health and safety requirements.
You’ll have the opportunity to work across different assignments, offering variety and flexibility.
✅ What You’ll Need
- Valid HGV Class 2 (Category C) driving licence.
- Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- At least 1 year’s Class 2 driving experience.
- No more than 6 penalty points – minor offences only.
- No IN, DD, DR or CD endorsements.
- Good understanding of drivers’ hours and transport legislation.
- Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
- Flexibility to work across different assignments.
- Good communication and customer service skills.
💷 Pay Rates
- PAYE Basic: £14.50 per hour, plus holiday pay accrued.
- PAYE Advanced: £16.25 per hour.
