Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse operative / Delivery Van Driver to join our logistics team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting goods to various destinations, ensuring timely deliveries that meet customer expectations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience handling warehouse operations and heavy lifting. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to a dynamic organization committed to reliable service and operational excellence.

Hours of work: 08.30 – 17.00pm Mon – Thur

Friday: 8.30am – 16.00

Duties

Safely operate delivery vans to transport goods to designated locations according to schedules and routes.
Warehouse duties
Load and unload cargo, ensuring proper handling and secure placement within the vehicle.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to identify maintenance needs or safety concerns.
Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members regarding delivery statuses or issues.
Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation activities.
Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, stock replenishment, and heavy lifting when required.
Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including receipts, delivery logs, and manifests.
Report any vehicle malfunctions or accidents promptly to ensure safety and compliance.
Experience

Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role.
Familiarity with van driving, route navigation, and traffic regulations.
Experience working in warehouse environments involving heavy lifting and inventory handling.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
Knowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and safety procedures.
Ability to manage time efficiently to meet delivery deadlines.
Prior experience with logistics software or route planning tools is a plus.
