Live-out Nanny in Hammersmith

We are seeking an experienced, energetic and proactive nanny to care for a school aged daughter. Their daughter enjoys outdoor activities, sports and swimming, so a nanny who loves being outdoors and can encourage an active, healthy lifestyle is essential. The ideal candidate will be personable, emotionally mature and confident in their role, offering a supportive, big-sister-like presence while maintaining appropriate boundaries and a professional approach. The family values long-term relationships and is keen to find someone who will become a trusted and valued part of their household.

Responsibilities

• Providing attentive, engaging and nurturing care 
• Managing the school run, including morning drop-offs and afternoon pick-ups.
• Organising and accompanying her to after-school clubs, sporting activities, swimming and other hobbies.
• Arranging playdates and planning fun, age-appropriate activities during after-school hours and school holidays.
• Encouraging an active, outdoorsy lifestyle and supporting her interests and development.
• Preparing healthy, delicious and well-balanced meals for the child and managing family meal planning as required.
• Undertaking grocery shopping and keeping household food supplies organised.
• Managing the child's laundry and ensuring her clothes, school uniform and belongings are clean, organised and ready for use.
• Maintaining a tidy and organised environment, particularly in areas relating to the child.
• Assisting with general household errands connected to the role.
• Managing the evening routine, including dinner, bath time and bedtime.
• Providing occasional babysitting and overnight care when the parents are travelling for work.
• Accompanying the family on occasional trips and providing childcare support while travelling.
• Taking initiative and ensuring the child's daily routines and needs are managed smoothly without requiring constant direction.

The Ideal Candidate

• Experienced and committed: A proven track record of longevity in previous nanny or childcare positions, with references to support this.
• Active and energetic: Someone who genuinely enjoys sports, swimming, outdoor adventures and keeping up with an active school-aged child.
• Professionally qualified: A relevant childcare qualification is highly desirable, such as a teaching qualification or Norland training.
• A confident cook: Comfortable preparing nutritious, appealing meals and contributing to meal planning.
• Proactive and self-motivated: Organised, resourceful and able to anticipate the family's needs without waiting to be asked.
• Warm and personable: Able to build a close, trusting relationship with the child and become a positive, supportive presence in her life.
• Mature and professional: Well-presented, reliable and able to exercise sound judgement while maintaining a fun and relaxed approach.
• An excellent communicator: Open, clear and confident when communicating with parents and keeping them informed about the child's day.
• Flexible and adaptable: Happy to support occasional overnight stays, babysitting and family travel when required.
• Keen to become part of the family: Looking for a long-term position and genuinely invested in building a lasting relationship with the family.

Hours:

During term time: 7:30 am – 7:00 pm
During school holidays: 8:00 am – 7:00 pm

Occasional overnight stays when the parents are away for work, some babysitting and occasional family travel will also be required.

Salary: Up to £70K per annum, depending on experience and suitability.

Start Date: December 2026

Unless otherwise specified a minimum of 5 years relevant experience is required to receive the advertised rate of pay.
