About the role
SEMH Secondary Teachers | East Hertfordshire & North Essex
County Teachers is recruiting passionate and dedicated SEMH Secondary Teachers for an independent specialist school across East Hertfordshire & North Essex
You will work with KS3, KS4 and KS5 pupils with a range of additional needs, including SEMH, ASD, ADHD and other associated needs, delivering teaching on a 1:1 basis and in small groups.
The role:
Deliver high-quality, differentiated teaching to pupils with EHCPs.
Plan engaging lessons and personalised learning programmes.
Support pupils’ academic, social and emotional development.
Manage behaviour and create a positive learning environment.
Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants and the wider school team.
The ideal candidate:
Holds QTS or an equivalent qualification.
Has experience working with pupils with SEMH and/or SEND.
Is resilient, adaptable and passionate about making a difference.
Has strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
Can develop creative and engaging lessons to meet individual needs.
