Autism Spectrum Disorder Teaching Assistant - Tendring, Essex.Autism Spectrum Disorder Teaching Assistant - Tendring, EssexFull-Time |ASAP START | Long-Term OpportunityTradewind Recruitment are currently looking for a dedicated and compassionate Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in the Tendring area of Essex to start ASAPThis is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant or someone with experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Disorder, who is passionate about helping pupils to thrive academically, socially and emotionally.The RoleAs an Autism Spectrum Disorder Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teaching staff and the school's SEN team to provide tailored support to pupils with autism and associated additional needs.Your responsibilities will include:Providing 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with Autism Spectrum DisorderSupporting pupils with their learning, communication and developmentHelping pupils manage transitions, routines and changes throughout the school daySupporting positive behaviour and emotional regulationImplementing individual support and learning strategiesSupporting pupils who may experience sensory processing difficultiesEncouraging independence, confidence and social developmentWorking closely with teachers, the SENCO and other professionalsCreating a calm, structured and inclusive learning environmentMonitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staffThe Ideal CandidateThe school is looking for someone who is patient, calm, understanding and resilient, with a genuine passion for working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder.Previous experience supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder is highly desirable.
