Our client is a highly respected international not-for-profit leader in evidence-based healthcare with a strong digital presence, and they are looking for an Interim Head of Product to lead a key platform and product function during a 12-month fixed-term assignment. This is a remote role paying £68,000.
The Role
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced product leader to step into a pivotal role and make an immediate impact.
As Interim Head of Product, you will take ownership of a flagship digital platform and its associated product roadmap, ensuring successful delivery of product enhancements, user experience improvements, and strategic initiatives. You'll lead a multidisciplinary team, provide clear direction and prioritisation, and ensure that product activity aligns with wider organisational goals.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across the business, you will translate strategic objectives into deliverable product plans, balancing user needs, business priorities, market insight, and performance data. You will also oversee key supplier relationships, helping to ensure high-quality service delivery and ongoing platform development.
This role requires someone who can quickly establish credibility, provide confident leadership, and maintain momentum across both product delivery and team development throughout the contract period.
Must-Haves
·Proven experience leading digital products, platforms, or services at a senior level
·Strong background in product roadmap ownership, prioritisation, and delivery
·Experience managing and developing cross-functional or multidisciplinary teams
·Strong understanding of product management frameworks, agile methodologies, and continuous improvement
·Ability to use data, analytics, customer insight, and market intelligence to drive decision-making
·Experience working with external suppliers, technology partners, or platform vendors
·Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills

You are a confident and commercially minded product leader who enjoys bringing people together around a shared vision. You are highly organised, analytical, and comfortable navigating complex stakeholder environments.
You thrive on turning strategy into action, leading teams through change, and delivering tangible outcomes. Most importantly, you're able to step into a leadership role quickly, build trust across the organisation, and provide stability and direction from day one.
Experience within research, scholarly publishing, information services, healthcare, education, membership organisations, or other knowledge-driven sectors would highly beneficial.
