Key Responsibilities
Operation of Forklift Equipment
- Safely operate forklifts to move, stack, load, and unload materials in a warehouse or production environment.
- Ensure proper handling and placement of materials to prevent damage.
Inventory Management
- Assist with inventory control by accurately recording and organizing materials.
- Conduct regular stock checks and report discrepancies to supervisors.
Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Conduct routine inspections of the forklift equipment and report any maintenance needs or issues.
Loading and Unloading
- Load and unload goods from trucks, containers, and storage areas.
- Secure loads properly to prevent shifting or damage during transport.
Order Fulfilment
- Pick and pack orders according to delivery schedules and customer requirements.
- Ensure accurate and timely completion of orders.
Warehouse Organization
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Follow warehouse procedures for storing and retrieving materials.
Documentation and Reporting
- Complete and maintain accurate records of forklift operations and inventory movements.
- Report any issues or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
Essential Qualifications:
✔ Valid forklift operator certification or license.
✔ Previous experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or production environment.
✔ Strong understanding of safety guidelines and protocols for forklift operation.
✔ Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy materials.
✔ Good communication and teamwork skills.
✔ Attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management.
✔ Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
✔ Legal authorization to work in the UK.
