Job Description
Key Responsibilities
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Site Manager to support the Store Manager in the day-to-day running of a busy retail store.
You will help lead and motivate the store team, deliver excellent customer service and support the achievement of sales and operational targets.
This role is ideal for an experienced Retail Supervisor or Team Leader who is ready to take the next step in their management career.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the Store Manager with the overall running of the store.
- Lead and motivate the retail team to achieve sales and customer service targets.
- Assist with staff scheduling, rotas and daily task allocation.
- Monitor store performance and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure excellent customer service standards are maintained.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues professionally.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and training of new employees.
- Coach team members and provide regular feedback.
- Monitor stock levels and assist with stock management.
- Ensure products are correctly priced, displayed and replenished.
- Support cash management and daily banking procedures.
- Ensure company policies and health & safety standards are followed.
- Assist with opening and closing the store.
- Monitor store presentation and visual merchandising standards.
- Support promotional campaigns and new product launches.
- Act as Store Manager when required.

Essential:
- Previous retail or customer service experience.
- Experience supervising or leading a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Good organisation and time management.
- Ability to motivate and coach employees.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work towards sales and performance targets.
Desirable:
- Previous Assistant Store Manager experience.
- Experience working with retail KPIs.
- Experience with staff rotas and scheduling.
- Experience with stock management.
- Experience training and developing employees.
