7.5T Driver – Furniture Home Delivery – Livingston

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5T Driver to join our well-established client based in Livingston, delivering sofas and furniture directly to customers’ homes and flats.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering £16.84 per hour, a four-day working rota, weekly pay, no Sunday working and ongoing opportunities.

This is a physically demanding home delivery role involving heavy lifting, carrying sofas and furniture into customers’ properties and navigating stairs where required. Applicants must be comfortable carrying out manual handling duties throughout the working day.

This position is ideal for applicants who have previously worked as a 7.5T Driver, HGV Class 2 Driver, Category C1 Driver, Furniture Delivery Driver, Home Delivery Driver or Removals Driver.

Shifts

 • Four days from six, on a rota basis
 • 6:00am – 6:00pm
 • No Sunday working
 • Rota provided in advance

 • £16.84 per hour

Day-to-Day Duties

As a 7.5T Driver, your duties will include:

 • Driving a 7.5T vehicle safely and responsibly
 • Delivering sofas and furniture to customers’ homes and flats
 • Loading and unloading furniture from the vehicle
 • Carrying sofas and heavy furniture items into customers’ properties
 • Manoeuvring furniture through doorways, hallways and staircases
 • Carrying furniture up and down stairs where required
 • Working as part of a delivery team to complete daily routes
 • Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
 • Completing daily vehicle checks and relevant delivery paperwork
 • Ensuring goods are handled safely and securely at all times

Essential Skills

To be successful as a 7.5T Driver, you will need:

 • Valid UK Category C1 (7.5T) driving licence
 • Valid Driver CPC qualification card
 • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
 • Ability to carry out physically demanding furniture delivery duties safely
 • Comfortable lifting and manoeuvring sofas and heavy furniture
 • Willingness to carry furniture up and down stairs
 • Good communication and customer service skills
 • Reliable, punctual and professional approach
 • Ability to work effectively as part of a delivery team

Desirable Experience

 • Previous 7.5T driving experience
 • Previous furniture delivery or home delivery experience
 • Experience working within removals or a similar physically demanding delivery role

Training Provided

 • Full paid site induction
 • Ongoing support throughout your assignment
