Shift Maintenance Engineer

Salary up to £53,000

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a leading manufacturing company. This role will be responsible for ensuring the effective maintenance, reliability, and continuous improvement of production equipment within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities 

·      Ensure all health and safety policies and procedures are adhered to at all times

·      Carry out effective maintenance and repair of plant machinery and equipment

·      Develop, maintain, and implement planned preventative maintenance schedules

·      Ensure all equipment remains safe, operational, and compliant with relevant legislation

·      Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation in line with quality, safety, and environmental standards

·      Work collaboratively with production teams to improve manufacturing efficiency and effectiveness

·      Provide technical support, knowledge sharing, and engineering expertise across the business

·      Identify and implement technical solutions to enhance manufacturing processes

·      Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and the production of high-quality products

·      Promote high standards of housekeeping and safe working practices

·      Comply with environmental and energy policies and procedures

Requirements 

·      NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Engineering

·      Time-served Electrical and/or Mechanical Engineer

·      Previous experience within an industrial maintenance environment

·      Proven fault-finding and repair experience within a manufacturing setting

·      Experience carrying out preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment

·      Experience in a CNC environment would be desirable
