Teaching Assistant

Flourish Education is currently recruiting for Teaching Assistants to work with welcoming and supportive primary schools in Hednesford on a day-to-day supply basis. The schools provide positive, inclusive and engaging learning environments where pupils are encouraged to develop their confidence, independence and achieve their full potential. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with children across the primary age range and is looking for flexible work within local schools.

Our clients want to appoint dedicated Teaching Assistants to support pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, from Reception through to Year 6. Responsibilities in these roles include supporting the class teacher with daily lessons, assisting pupils with their learning and development, and providing 1:1 or small-group support where required.

You may work across different year groups, helping pupils with classroom activities, literacy, numeracy and general engagement. The successful candidates will need to be adaptable, confident working with children and able to build positive relationships quickly.

Required Skills and Experience for this Teaching Assistant role:

• Experience working in primary schools in the UK

• Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification, or relevant experience

• Experience working with pupils across EYFS, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2

• Experience supporting children with different learning abilities

• Experience providing 1:1 and small-group support where required

• Supporting the class teacher with classroom activities and lessons

• Helping pupils develop their literacy, numeracy and social skills

• Effectively manage behaviour and classroom engagement

• Motivating and encouraging pupils to participate in learning

• Supporting pupils with their learning and development

• Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

• Working closely with the class teacher and other school staff

• Building positive relationships with pupils

• Commitment to the role

• Being flexible and adaptable when needed

Working for Flourish Education as a Teaching Assistant you will receive:

• £92.59 day rate to £100 day rate which equates to £18,055 per annum to £19,500 per annum based on working 5 days a week for a full school year

• Holiday Pay – for PAYE candidates 12.07% of your day rate is accrued into your holiday pot
