What Will You Be Doing?

As a Science Teacher, you'll inspire students aged 11–16 to develop their scientific knowledge, curiosity and confidence in the classroom.

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering engaging Science lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4, making learning accessible and enjoyable for students of all abilities.

Planning creative and practical lessons that encourage curiosity, critical thinking and scientific understanding.

Monitoring student progress through assessments, constructive feedback and differentiated learning activities.

Creating a positive classroom environment that promotes engagement, achievement and effective behaviour.

Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop curriculum resources, share best practices and improve student outcomes.

Supporting departmental development by contributing to the school's commitment to raising standards and delivering high-quality Science education.

What Are We Looking For?

We're looking for a motivated and adaptable Science Teacher who is passionate about education and committed to helping young people succeed.

The ideal candidate will have:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.

Registration with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).

Experience teaching Science at secondary level, with the ability to deliver lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.

Strong subject knowledge and excellent classroom management skills.

A positive, enthusiastic and flexible approach to teaching students of varying abilities.

A genuine passion for inspiring young people and improving student outcomes.

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing, including an Enhanced DBS Check.

Welsh language skills are desirable but not essential.
