We are seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join a leading healthcare provider in Brecon, Powys. Key Responsibilities:
As a Senior Support Worker based in Brecon, your daily duties will include:
Leading shifts and supporting team members to deliver consistent care
Allocating duties and overseeing medication administration and record keeping
Supporting individuals with autism in their daily routines, promoting independence and wellbeing
Assisting with personal care, meal preparation, and household activities
Encouraging participation in social, recreational, and community activities
Acting as a positive role model and mentoring less experienced staff
Contributing to the review and development of person-centred care plans
Maintaining accurate records and ensuring high standards of care are delivered
Requirements & Qualifications:
To be successful as a Senior Support Worker, you will need:
Recognised Level 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care or equivalent
Previous experience supporting individuals with autism, learning disabilities, or complex needs
A genuine passion for helping others and promoting independence
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Flexibility to work a range of shifts, including weekends and occasional nights
A full UK driving licence
