Strategy Director

Founded more than 20 years ago, with roots in street art and now headquartered in New York, the agency builds culturally resonant brands across drinks and consumer goods. 

At this independent brand design agency, strategy sits at around a fifth of revenue inside a design-led studio, and that ratio matters. It means the strategist here is a core creative voice shaping brand worlds, not a service layer bolted onto the output. 

The Role
You lead strategy across brand, design and innovation, building the strategic foundations and architectures that translate research into creative direction. You’ll own the work that makes up roughly 20% of agency revenue: innovation, white space identification, territory building and client roadmapping.

A large part of this role is live. You’ll moderate client and internal workshops, command the pitch room, read it, and pivot in the moment – telling an emotionally engaging story rather than presenting a framework. That skill sits at the centre of the brief.

You’ll also mentor an associate strategy director, and help shape how the practice grows. You report to the CEO and join a close-knit senior leadership team of seven. The agency is rebuilding after restructuring, and you’re joining to shape the next phase, with real visibility and influence.

The Person
You’re a Head of Strategy or Senior Strategy Director from a brand design or branding consultancy – the kind doing drinks, CPG and packaging. 

You think as a generalist across brand, design and innovation, moderate qualitative research with confidence, and are culturally fluent, particularly around Gen Z. Above all, you’re a commanding live presenter and a human, accessible storyteller – not a salesperson, and not framework-rigid.
