About the role

ESOL Teacher (Adult Education) - Wiltshire

Are you an experienced ESOL teacher passionate about helping adult learners build confidence, improve their English language skills, and integrate into their local communities? We are seeking a dedicated and flexible ESOL Teacher to deliver high-quality English language instruction to adult learners across Wiltshire.

In this role, you will travel to various community venues and learning hubs across the county, working with small, supportive groups to deliver tailored, engaging lessons that truly make a difference.

Role Details
  • Location: Wiltshire (Travel required across the county)
  • Pay: £100 - £130 per day (depending on experience)
Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver creative, learner-centred ESOL lessons tailored to small groups of adults aged 18-65.
  • Assess learners' starting points, track progress, and adapt teaching strategies to support diverse learning styles and abilities.
  • Foster an inclusive, welcoming, and encouraging classroom environment.
  • Travel between designated teaching locations across Wiltshire efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate records of attendance, learner progress, and feedback.
Qualifications
  • Qualified ESOL Teacher: Must hold a recognised ESOL or ELT teaching qualification (e.g., CELTA, CertTESOL, PGCE with ESOL specialism, or Level 5 Diploma in Education and Training with ESOL subject specialist path).
  • Driving License & Transport: Valid UK driving license and access to your own vehicle to travel around Wiltshire.
  • Adult Education Experience: Proven track record of delivering English language teaching to adult learners (18+).
  • Group Management: Strong classroom management skills with experience leading small groups.
  • Safeguarding: Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one prior to start date).
