Atkins Search are working with a respected construction contractor delivering a range of infrastructure and groundwork packages across London. Due to continued project demand, we’re seeking a skilled Groundworker to support high-quality delivery across multiple sites.



This is an excellent opportunity for a knowledgeable and hands-on Groundworker to contribute to major projects, ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.



Responsibilities



As a Groundworker in London, your responsibilities will include:

Install kerbs, edgings, and channels to required line and level
Lay slabs, paving, and footpaths to a high standard
Carry out deep drainage works, including trenching, pipe laying, manholes, and associated groundworks
Read and interpret drawings, site plans, and levels
Use lasers, levels, and other setting-out equipment as guided by the on site engineer
Ideally be able operate small plant and tools (e.g. dumpers, rollers, cut-off saws) where certified
Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company procedures
Work collaboratively with site supervisors, engineers, and other trades
Maintain a clean and safe working environment




Person



To be successful in this Groundworker job, you will need:

Proven experience in groundworks, specifically kerbing, slabbing, and deep drainage
Ability to work to tight tolerances and meet project deadlines
Strong understanding of groundwork techniques and materials
Experience reading technical drawings and setting out
Valid CSCS Card (essential)
CPCS/NPORS tickets for plant operation (desirable)
Confined Spaces and Street Works (NRSWA) tickets advantageous
Full UK driving licence preferred
