Audit Senior

A well-established and growing Shropshire accountancy practice is looking for an Audit Senior to join its friendly and supportive team.

This is a great opportunity for an ACA/ACCA qualified or nearly qualified audit professional who wants greater responsibility, meaningful client contact and a clear route for career progression.

You’ll be trusted to take ownership of audit assignments, build strong client relationships and, as your experience develops, take the lead on selected audits.

The Role

Working closely with experienced Managers and Client Managers, you will:

• Support audits from planning through to completion
• Take responsibility for delivering accurate, high-quality work within deadlines
• Lead selected audit assignments as your experience develops
• Identify and communicate any issues arising during the audit process
• Supervise and support junior team members
• Build positive, professional relationships with clients
• Assist with wider projects and work alongside Directors and Managers

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• ACA/ACCA qualified or nearing qualification
• Experienced within an accountancy practice, with a strong audit background
• Confident dealing directly with clients and taking ownership of audits
• Technically strong, commercially aware and detail-focused
• Well organised, proactive and able to manage competing deadlines
• A confident communicator who enjoys working as part of a team
• A car owner/driver
