Introduction

Acorn by Synergie is recruiting an experienced CNC Grinder Operator to join a manufacturing team in Bridgwater.

You will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC grinding machinery, producing precision components to engineering drawings, specifications and required tolerances.

Key Duties

• Set and operate CNC grinding machines.

• Read engineering drawings and work instructions.

• Use precision measuring equipment such as micrometers and verniers.

• Make machine offset and tooling adjustments.

• Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections.

• Identify machine, tooling and quality issues.

• Complete production records and follow Health & Safety procedures.

• Support continuous improvement and maintain a clean, safe working environment.

Requirements

• Previous CNC grinding experience.

• Ability to read engineering drawings.

• Experience using precision measuring equipment.

• Good understanding of tolerances and quality standards.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with cylindrical, centreless, surface or universal grinding is desirable.

• CNC programming or editing experience is desirable.

• Engineering qualification is desirable.
