Print Finisher

Cogent Staffing are seeking a reliable and detail-focused Print Finisher to join our client’s team in Halifax, West Yorkshire, and play a pivotal role in preparing high-quality printed displays for the retail sector. The ideal candidate must have hands-on experience in post-print operations—specifically in large-format finishing, weeding, and vinyl application.

Shifts & Salary

• Pay Rate: £14.00 – £15.00 per hour (dependent on experience)
• Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
• Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
• Location: Halifax, West Yorkshire

Key Responsibilities

• Perform end-to-end print finishing tasks across a wide range of retail, signage, and display graphics.
• Execute precise weeding of cut vinyl graphics and apply application tape accurately for display setup.
• Mount and apply printed vinyl onto various substrates, including plastics, acrylics, Foamex, and timber panels.
• Operate finishing equipment such as guillotine cutters, laminators, plotters, and CNC trim tables.
• Conduct strict quality checks on finished graphics to ensure they meet client specifications before packing and dispatch.
• Maintain a clean, safe work area and ensure all finishing machinery is operated in line with health and safety procedures.

Key Requirements

• Practical, hands-on experience in print finishing, sign-making, or large-format graphics production.
• Strong skills in vinyl weeding, mounting, trimming, and substrate application.
• High level of manual dexterity, hand-eye coordination, and a keen eye for detail and finish quality.
• Ability to understand technical job sheets, cutting plans, and print dimensions accurately.
• Good time-management capabilities to maintain pace in a busy, deadline-driven production studio.
• Able to commute to Halifax.
