Location: Glasgow, with regular travel to HMNB Clyde (Faslane/Coulport) and MOD London/Abbey Wood. Hybrid working subject to operational requirements.

Salary: SCS Pay Band 2 role. The successful candidate should expect to earn up to £175,000 per annum plus performance related bonus. For existing Civil Servants, the usual guidelines apply.

The Clyde Transformation Programme is a complex multi-decade, multi-billion-pound programme to modernise HMNB Clyde, the home of the UK’s nuclear deterrent and the Royal Navy’s submarine fleet. This nationally important programme is designed to ensure the base can support the next generation of Dreadnought-class and SSN-AUKUS submarines while improving operational capability, accommodation, training facilities and supporting infrastructure.

Within this influential role, you will lead the client-side delivery system for the Clyde Transformation Programme, connecting strategy, investment, governance, assurance and execution across MOD, the Royal Navy, delivery partners and regulators. You will be accountable for designing, establishing and leading the Client Delivery Model to enable effective, integrated and assured delivery of the portfolio – translating strategic intent and investment decisions into credible plans, disciplined execution, robust assurance and sustained client capability.

To be successful, you will possess a degree or equivalent experience in engineering, infrastructure, nuclear or programme delivery. You will have a successful track record of leading enterprise-scale, interdependent, multi £bn portfolios across phases and funding cycles, with complex interfaces and delivery risk within the private or public sector. You will be skilled in delivery leadership in regulated, safety critical and/or high security environments, delivering change while sustaining safe operations.
