Client Accountant

My client is looking for a Client Accountant who has strong Practice Experience with a strong understanding of the business cycle. Previous experience working with Xero is required.

Salary: Up to £45k

Location: Remote working offered

Previous experience working with Xero is required. They are a really lovely company who do offer fully remote, but still hold a very sociable, collaborative and welcoming environment. They do have an office so if you would prefer to go in, you can.

Client Accountant Duties/ Qualifications:

• Managing a portfolio of clients, providing proactive tax and accounting advice
• Conduct a ‘welcome call’ with new clients and complete a risk assessment upon client sign-up and annual AML risk assessment
• Reviewing work (accounts, Corp tax, VAT and SATRs)
• Experience reviewing work – Periodically review bookkeeping and collaborate with the bookkeeper to ensure accuracy.
• Conduct quarterly business review meetings with relevant clients and hold an Annual Accounts Review (AAR)
• Monitor the time spent by the team on each client and ensure invoicing aligns with the client’s revenue and time spent.
• Provide clear, practical Tax solutions to clients
• Liaise with HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) on behalf of clients, handling inquiries and resolving tax-related issues.
• Stay updated on changes in UK tax legislation and communicate implications to clients and the team
• ACA/ ACCA Qualified or part qualified
