This is a full-time, permanent management position offering site leadership across diver, high-value projects ranging from £1m - £45m.





Client



Our client is a well-respected and reputable construction main contractor with a strong presence across Derby and the East Midlands. Known for collaborative working practices, they maintain trusted relationships with subcontractors and clients to deliver high-quality schemes on time and within budget.



Their diverse portfolio of projects spans commercial construction, education, leisure and healthcare construction projects, combining traditional delivery methods with modern project controls and sustainability frameworks. Following two years of consistent growth, they are expanding their contracts management team and seeking an experienced construction professional to lead their contract delivery programme.





Role

Our client is looking to bring in a Senior Site Manager to work as a part of their existing construction team. You will be leading on various construction projects alongside the senior management team and given all the necessary tools to build a long-term and successful career. You will also get the opportunity to progress through the businesses.



Responsibilities



As a Senior Site Manager in Derby, your responsibilities will include:



Overseeing all on-site operations, including subcontractors, materials, and equipment.
Managing the day to day running of the projects and providing clear direction to those working on the construction site regarding their responsibilities and targets.
Managing and implementing of health and safety procedures. Ensuring that all aspects of health and safety are followed and adhered to.
Ensuring site presentation is always maintained at the correct standard.
Producing accurate progress reports and ensuring that they are updated accordingly.




Person



To be successful in this Senior Site Manager position in Derby, you will bring significant experience working within a main contracting construction environment, ideally for a Tier 1 or Tier 2 contractor.



Current or previous roles as a Site Manager on behalf of a construction main contractor.
Strong person management and delegation skills.
Effective communication and listening skills.
A good understanding of the building regulations, local authority agreements.
Previous experience working within the commercial construction industry on new build schemes.
Ability to organise and prioritise your workload.
Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously.
SMSTS, CSCS, First Aid.
