Electrical Engineer

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of projects, our client, a leading engineering consultancy delivering innovative solutions across the industrial, logistics, commercial and infrastructure sectors, is seeking experienced Electrical Engineers to join their teams across multiple UK locations.

This is an excellent opportunity for engineers looking for a long-term contract position, with the flexibility for permanent employment being considered for the right candidate.

The Role

You will play a key role in the design and delivery of electrical building services solutions on a variety of complex projects, working closely with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teams from concept through to completion.

Responsibilities will include:

• Delivering electrical design solutions across logistics, data centre and commercial developments.
• Producing calculations, specifications, reports and technical drawings.
• Designing electrical building services systems including power, lighting, distribution and associated infrastructure.
• Managing and coordinating projects through multiple design and construction stages.
• Supporting client relationships and attending technical meetings, design reviews and site visits.
• Conducting site surveys, inspections and assessments of existing electrical installations.
• Ensuring compliance with current British Standards, Building Regulations and industry best practice.
• Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver projects safely, efficiently and to programme.
• Supporting and mentoring junior engineers where required.

Requirements

✔ Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering or a related discipline.

✔ Experience delivering electrical design projects within a consultancy, contractor or construction environment.

✔ Strong understanding of UK regulations, industry standards and engineering best practices.

✔ Experience working across multiple project phases from design through to delivery.

✔ Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

✔ Working towards or holding professional accreditation (IET, CIBSE, Incorporated or Chartered status) would be advantageous.
