Printer Vinyl Operator

DC Personnel are looking for an experienced Large Format Printer / Vinyl Operator for the area of Leicestershire to join their production team on a permanent basis.

Location: Leicester

Salary: £28,000–£32,000 per annum, (Depending on experience)

Hours: Monday – Friday 40 hours

About the Role:

This is a hands-on production role working within a busy signage and graphics environment. The successful candidate will have previous experience operating large format printers and/or working with vinyl, producing high-quality graphics and signage to customer specifications.

The role would suit someone who has good attention to detail, takes pride in their work and is comfortable working to deadlines in a busy production environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate large format digital printers and associated finishing equipment.
• Produce printed graphics, signage, vinyl and other large format products.
• Prepare artwork and materials for printing where required.
• Load and unload printing media safely and correctly.
• Carry out basic finishing, trimming, cutting and preparation of printed materials.
• Weed, apply and laminate vinyl graphics where required.
• Assist with mounting and preparing graphics for installation.
• Check finished products for quality, accuracy and consistency.
• Follow job specifications and production schedules.
• Maintain printers, tools and production equipment.
• Keep the production area clean, organised and safe.
• Work efficiently to meet production deadlines.
• Follow company quality and health & safety procedures.

Essential Experience:

• Previous experience in a large format print, signage or vinyl production environment.
• Experience operating large format printers.
• Experience handling vinyl and other signage materials.
• Good attention to detail.
• Ability to follow job specifications and production instructions.
• Good understanding of basic health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, organised and hardworking.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good time management and ability to work to deadlines.

Desirable Experience:

• Experience with vinyl cutting and application.
• Experience with laminating and finishing.
• Experience with CNC or digital cutting equipment.
• Experience producing commercial signage and graphics.
• Experience with illuminated signage or display graphics.
• Basic knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop or similar design software.
• Experience working within a signage manufacturing environment.

Hours & Benefits:

• Full-time, permanent position.
