Cover Supervisor – DN17 – Multiple Roles Available

Cover Supervisor | DN17 | £105 to £130 per day

A secondary school in DN17 is seeking Cover Supervisors to support classes when teachers are unavailable. We have multiple opportunities available, including long term placements, part time work and casual hours, giving you flexibility around your existing commitments. Cover Supervisors help keep lessons running when the regular teacher is absent. You will oversee the class, make sure students have access to their work and maintain the school’s expectations throughout the lesson. You do not need previous Cover Supervisor experience to apply.

What We’re Looking For:
• Good communication skills with a clear, confident approach
• Confidence maintaining classroom behaviour
• The ability to follow prepared lesson materials and communicate this to students
• A willingness to work across different subjects and key stages. 

Previous experience in a school is not essential. Experience in areas such as childcare, sports, tutoring, youth work or similar settings can be useful but is not required.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:
• Take responsibility for classes during teacher absence
• Supervise students and ensure they complete the work provided by teachers
• Manage behaviour in line with school expectations
• Provide assistance to students where appropriate
• Keep students focused during lessons
• Report any issues or relevant information to the appropriate member of staff
