Senior Planner

*Hybrid working, 2 office days*
*Can be based in either Warrington or City Centre Manchester*
*Inside IR35*
*Ideal background would be of large construction and manufacturing projects*
*Must be able to achieve baseline security clearance*

The role of Senior Planner is to work closely with the project team to develop the methods and advise on the priority of the project during all phases (Engineering, procurement & construction). They would be expected to take the methods information and develop the duration of activities from “bottom-up” estimates advise and work with the teams to develop the on-site activities sequencing advise on the type and number of resources required produce the schedules independently for the short- and long-term plan and input all the data/resources take the schedules through the governance process of the project.
Within the role they would also be expected to update, co-ordinate and own the project controls for the area of work they are assigned. As a senior planner they would also provide support to junior planners and provide SME advice to the business on planning and scheduling activity and lead and oversee a team of planners to deliver planning activities.
Knowledge, Experience, Behaviours and Skills

- Working within planning team
- Knowledge and experience of working within an integrated programme Knowledge of project management tools, systems, and process
- Technical knowledge of Nuclear, Engineering programmes
Experience in working on a complex programme within a project controls (PMO) environment
Strong knowledge of project controls (Earned Value, Change Control and baseline management, Reporting).
