We are looking for a dedicated practitioner who is passionate about giving every child the very best start to their educational journey and committed to creating a stimulating, engaging, and inclusive learning environment where all children can flourish.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a supportive and highly collaborative team, making a significant contribution to the ongoing development of our Early Years provision. Our Early Years team works closely with colleagues in Nursery and Key Stage 1, fostering a shared approach to learning and development and ensuring smooth transitions as children progress through the early stages of their education.
The successful candidate will play a key role in this collaborative approach, working alongside colleagues across Nursery, Reception, and Key Stage 1 to deliver high-quality learning experiences, support every child to achieve their potential, and help build strong foundations for lifelong learning.
The Successful Candidate Will:
- Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Have experience of teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Demonstrate a sound understanding of child development and the EYFS framework.
- Create a stimulating, creative, and engaging learning environment.
- Work closely with colleagues across the Early Years Foundation Stage and Key Stage 1 to ensure a seamless transition and continuity of learning for all pupils.
- Value and contribute to the strong collaborative relationships between Reception, Nursery, and KS1 teams, sharing best practice and planning opportunities.
- Be committed to achieving high standards of teaching and learning.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Foster positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Be reflective, adaptable, and committed to ongoing professional development.
- Uphold safeguarding and child welfare responsibilities at all times.
We Can Offer:
- Happy, enthusiastic children who are eager to learn.
- A supportive and welcoming staff team.
- Strong leadership and a collaborative working environment.
- Opportunities for professional development and career progression.
- A commitment to staff wellbeing and work-life balance.
- Well-resourced learning environments and outdoor provision.
We warmly encourage visits to the school. To arrange a tour or an informal conversation, please contact the school office.
Charing Church of England Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. All staff are expected to share this commitment. The successful candidate will be required to follow the relevant safeguarding procedures, including Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSiE) guidance, and will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
We encourage early applications and reserve the right to close this vacancy early if a suitable candidate is found.
